TCG Card Shop Simulator Workbench & Bulk Boxes
The Workbench is the single most under-used piece of furniture in the game. Before 1.0 it only made bulk bundles; since 1.0 it is also where the rulebook lives and where you build and edit your 50-card deck.
Facts
| Price | $1,000 from MY DIY |
|---|---|
| Level | 10 |
| What it did before 1.0 | Turned duplicate and low-value cards into sellable bulk boxes |
| What 1.0 added | Tetramon rulebook, deck creation and editing, deck box and playmat selection, deck export and import as a text list |
Bulk box tiers
Bulk boxes are sorted into colour bands by the value of what goes in them. A box is only worth what you fed it, so the band is a description of your leftovers, not a rarity tier.
| Box | Value band | Note |
|---|---|---|
| White | The cheapest tier of leftovers | White Base and White Destiny bulk boxes are the two lines that appear in the stock item list. |
| Yellow | Next value band up | — |
| Pink | Mid band | — |
| Red | Higher band | — |
| Green | Highest bulk band | Value bands are set by the cards you feed in, so a green box is only worth what went into it. |
The clear-out routine
- Sweep the binder for duplicates and commons on a fixed day rather than when storage is already full.
- Pull out anything genuinely worth a single slot or a grading submission first.
- Feed the rest to the Workbench and shelve the resulting boxes with the rest of your stock.
- Quick Fill (added 0.66) loads the Card Storage Shelf and Bulk Donation Box in one action, but only with non-graded cards.
Two things to watch
- A stuffed binder is frozen capital, not a collection — but selling your last copy of a card removes it from the collection book entirely.
- Ascension cards did not get their own bulk box line at launch; players flagged it on the Steam forum during 1.0 week.
Since 1.0: rulebook and deck editor
The same tabletop now opens the Tetramon rulebook and the deck editor. That makes the Workbench the single most important furniture purchase in the game after the checkout counter — it is the only route into the 1.0 card game.
